At MatchyMatchydesign, we know that we’re stronger together – that’s why we’re proud to announce we’re now members of two renowned textile communities: The Pattern Cloud and La Trame.
We invite you to have a quick read below to find out what made these two communities stand out to us.
The Pattern Cloud
The catalyst for creating The Pattern Cloud was the need to help the surface design industry transition smoothly into the 21st century – something identified by founders Tom Bambridge-Sutton and James Harley of Gather no Moss, and Bay and Brown’s Tracey Brown.
Founded in 2017, this pioneering platform is now the leading provider of websites and business systems for industry members, working towards making it easily accessible to all.
What started as partnership between two studios has developed into a community that sets the industry standard for running a textile design business, both digitally and face-to-face. With new members joining every day – MatchyMatchydesign being among some of the freshers – The Pattern Cloud keeps growing and confidently pushing the envelope in the world of modern textile design.
La Trame
Dealing with issues concerning intellectual property and copyright is unfortunately common in the fabric design world. That’s why organisations like La Trame are a vital addition to the industry’s tapestry.
This French community supports and educates designers on their legal rights by conducting conferences and workshops, ensuring they know how to protect their work.
La Trame also provides guidance in terms of finance and promotion. It shines a spotlight on the textile design industry, helping up-and-coming creators hoping to start their own business and supporting established studios in increasing their reach.
Belonging to a group means receiving support and constantly expanding your horizons by learning from others and exchanging notes on how we can do better.
We at MatchyMatchydesign are happy to share our expertise and take tips from our colleagues to ensure the best experience for our customers.
